Le metamorfosi della città contemporanea sono al centro della ricerca di Sandro Scalia. Fotografo da anni impegnato sui temi dell’universo metropolitano, Scalia si confronta questa volta con una sua particolare declinazione: i notturni urbani e le appendici “fuori-porta” come estensione di quei miti e di quei riti che anche “in trasferta” meglio qualificano l’anima di una città e dei suoi abitanti. Fotografie e video intrecciano così una riflessione che si rivela per contrasto, quasi in negativo, complice una luce dimezzata, che sottrae il luogo comune al suo stereotipo e investe di nuova coscienza punti di vista e possibilità fin qui inesplorate.

Sandro Scalia’s work focuses on the metamorphoses of the contemporary city.
