Its 84 vignettes present the range of fantastic images representing late medieval Europe’s idea of the Far East, populated by monsters, imaginary animals, magnificent costumes, fabled cities, merchants and warriors, and bizarre items of every sort. For the first time this fabulous carousel of images is offered to the general public, accompanied by an Italian translation of the text prepared especially for this edition.
